What is Micro-Retinol?
As a derivative of vitamin A, micro-retinol reduces the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles to improve the look and texture of collagen-depleted skin, while working with the skin’s natural process to reduce the appearance of pore size.
How is Micro-Retinol different to Retinol?
The particles found in Micro-Retinol are much smaller than Retinol, as small as 10 microns! These particles reach the deeper layers of the skin more easily for better performance and quicker results. It also fights against free radicals, protecting the skin from the damage caused by them and will stimulate cellular functions, leaving the skin visibly regenerated.
Where does Pevonia source their Micro-Retinol from?
From the enzymatic conversion of retinol (vitamin A) with carotene dioxygenase, from dark green leafy vegetables.
How does Micro-Retinol work and will it help my skin?
Retinol is considered an organiser of the skin’s architecture. It can easily penetrate properly conditioned skin given its small molecular size, and will stimulate the reproduction of the cells at the stratum germinativum, increasing their turnover rate. This results in a rejuvenated skin appearance.
