NATURE IS OUR STARTING POINT
Our journey begins with carefully selected ingredients from renewable natural sources.
Pevonia searches globally for potent botanical, marine and naturally derived actives, with a focus on responsible sourcing and preserving the environmental integrity of the ingredients we use.
Where appropriate, ingredients are sourced from renewable resources that can naturally regenerate, helping us make considered choices from the very beginning of the product development process.
Some Pevonia formulas contain ingredients that are 100% organic, while others incorporate ingredients derived from organic extracts. However, because of the sophisticated encapsulation and manufacturing processes used to maximise their delivery and performance, these formulas cannot necessarily be labelled as organic.
Natural doesn't simply mean what's written on the label. It's about making thoughtful choices throughout the formulation process.
LESS CAN SOMETIMES DO MORE
Modern skincare technology allows us to make the most of every ingredient.
At our proprietary laboratory in the USA, Pevonia’s research and development teams use advanced natural biotechnology processes, including micronisation, encapsulation and sophisticated delivery systems.
These technologies can allow active ingredients to be used efficiently, requiring only minimal quantities of raw materials while helping deliver them where they are needed.
Our encapsulation systems are also derived from natural sources and are designed to work synergistically with the ingredients they protect.
It's an example of how nature and science can work together rather than being seen as opposites.
CRUELTY-FREE SINCE 1991
Our commitment to responsible skincare extends beyond the ingredients we use.
Since launching in 1991, Pevonia has never tested its formulas on animals.
Before a new formula reaches the market, it is tested on human volunteers to assess product tolerance, penetration and efficacy, alongside rigorous laboratory testing to ensure it meets Pevonia's global standards.
For us, creating effective professional skincare shouldn't come at the expense of animal welfare.
PACKAGING WITH PURPOSE
Our approach doesn't stop once the formula is complete.
Pevonia's product packaging is designed with recyclability in mind, and we continue to investigate new ways to reduce our use of materials and make packaging choices more environmentally conscious.
Our initiatives have included incorporating partially recycled materials into selected packaging, reducing plastic use, and continuing to use glass across a number of products.
Our cellophane wrap is made using an environmentally friendly bioplastic derived from corn cellulose and is biodegradable.
Even our shipping boxes are made using a combination of virgin kraft paper and recycled material.
And we're continuing to explore reusable, refillable and multi-use packaging solutions for the future.
REDUCING WASTE, ONE STEP AT A TIME
Small changes across a business can add up.
Pevonia continues to look for ways to reduce waste and its environmental impact, including:

- Recycling waste

We're not suggesting that there is one simple solution to creating more environmentally responsible skincare. Instead, we believe it's an ongoing process of looking for better ways to do things.
FROM PLANT STEM CELLS TO HIGH-PERFORMANCE SKINCARE
One of the best examples of Pevonia's approach is our Stem Cells Phyto-Elite® collection.
The collection uses Plant Stem Cells derived from Argan and Comfrey Root.
Through sophisticated biotechnology, only a very small amount of plant material is required to produce larger quantities of high-quality active ingredients.
This means we can harness the potential of these botanical actives while using the principles of biotechnology to make efficient use of natural resources.
